At the request of the New Zealand Council, that the committee should appoint two umpires for the second "test" match with the Australians, 'Messrs. M'Kenzie ■ and-Varnahan;were selected for the .position. The New Zealand Council advised the committee that at the next gen-, ,eral meeting of the association tie following resolution would.be considered-

"That no person who is in receipt of' any payment whatsoever as a cricketer or a coach shall be eligible to play in Plunket Shield matches until he has resided in the Dominion for twelve-months continuously, and -tha't the rules for Plunket Shield, matches be amended accordingly." ;

It was resolved to instruct the dele-, gates for the local association to support the resolution.

The Manawatii Association wrote asking that a Wellington .team should visit Palmerston North -at Easter. As the letter had been delayed in transmission it was found that nothing could now be done in the matter. It was decided, however, that it should be brought up again at the earliest possible date nest season. The local cricket season was declared closed. This means that Central won the senior and junior championships, whilst East and' St. Mark's tied for the third-class championship.
