— » . — ■ WELLINGTON TRAMWATS CLUB. Mr. A. Maiden presided oyer the annual meeting of the 'Wellington Tramways Football Club, which was held yesterday. He congratulated members on their fine performance last year, being second in the Wednesday championship. It was stated that Mr. Kohn, jeweller, of Auckland, had presented a : shield to the tramwaymen of New Zealand to be played for by the chief centres. This year the Wellington Tramways are playing the v Auckland Trams, at Auckland, for the shield. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Dr. A. K. Newman; president, Mr. Geo. Yesterday afternoon, at , the Duppa Street Park, an ■ Association football match ■ was played between teams representing HJI.S. Pegasus and the Y.M.C.A. The game was fairly fast, and resulted in a win for the team from the warship by i goals to nil. Scorers for the warship were: C. Osborne (3), and J. Kelbert (1). ■..•••:
