He, was. born, in Indiana- in -1860, " his father,-an officer,in the Union Army, losing his life in the siege of Vicksburg. He graduated ftom the De Pauw Uni-. verity, Greencastle, Indiana, in 1883, where he was distinguished for his oratory. It was whilst studying theology at the Boston University that he came in contact with the. Salvation Army, which he joined, in. 1887. .After six months at the London Training Home, he returned to the United States, and was stationed in the New England district. He nearly lost his life on one occasion'in Boston, when he was struck on the head with a brick by a rough. . Later he was appointed district- officer of Maine, New Hampshire, West: Massachusetts, : and Rhode Island District, and after' that secretary of the North-Western Chief Division, and also of the Central Divi-. sion, with headquarters at New York.; The Colonel will be assisted by Ensign Cooke, songster and musician. Colonel Wardrop Moore and his sister, Miss S. Davids,, of England, have just returned from a fishuig excursion to Tokaanu, the waters of which lake they had the . pleasure of fishing last year.
