A SYDNEY TRAGEDY.
BARMAID SHOT. "LOOK AFTER MY GIRL." By Telegraph—Presß Association—Copyright (Bee. MaTcla 15, 10.30 p.m.) Sydney, Maich 15. A barmaid named Stark at tho Cafe Italien, in Bond Street, was shot dead this afternoon. . A man calling himself Walter. Lovett entered the bar and fired shot after shot. The woman fell bleeding from several wounds. He then turned the revolver on himself, and inflicted a minor wonnd. Stark died almost immediately, exclaiming, "Look after my girl." Lovett told the proprietor on Saturday that Stark was his wife. (Rec. March 16, 0.35 a.m.) s : Sydney, March. 15. Stark had her left eyo completely blown out, and two terrible wounds in the head, while there were two others in the body. The murderer stated that he was a commercial traveller. He had been drinking heavily.
