Mr. Do Latour was appointed a marrv ber of the Gisborne High School Boara by Cabinet yesterday. Mrs. George Kilsby, of, Ohariu Valley, mother of Sir. G. Kilsby, of Koputaroa, and one-of Wellington' 6 earliest settlers, died on Monday, aged 83 years. Deceased (says our Levin arrived in Wellington in 1856 by the ship Oliver Lang, and has rosided in Ohariu Valley over since. Mr. T. W. Stringer, Crown Prosecute of Christchurch, and Mr. George Harpet of Christchurch, arrived in Wellragtar yesterday. Mr. H. N. Holmes, general secretary of the Wellington Y.M.C.A., is expected back on Friday from a visit to Auckland. The Ber. W. J. Williams returned from the Muth yesterday.
