Toko (who is giving up horse-breeding) to 3 sell as above, the whole of his stud of .' thoroughbred brood marcs and young racing stock, concerning the breeding of which somo particulars are given hereunder. Mr. Glasgow having definitely decided to entirely relinquish horse-breeding, each i lot (with the exception of three) will bo submitted absolutely without reserve. The young stock are well-grown, and good upstanding sorts, quite ij-orth tho attention of owners and trainers, while the brood mares will furnish studmasters with a rare chance of obtaining excellent > stud matrons at a low figure. ! Lomond. LOT 2: Brown mare "Lyddite," by Foulshot—Wainui, with filly foal at foot to Lupin. Lyddite's dam, Wainui, who was by Opawa out of Miss Tuke, was also dam of Tanqeroa and Laurco,both successful performers on the turf some years ago. LOT 3: Bay mare, '' War Medal," by Artillery out of Dollar, with foal at foot by a colt by Nestor from Lyddite (Lot 2).
