MINING NEWS.
WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. A fair number of sales of mining shares were recorded yesterday. Consolidated Goldfields were firmer, with salw at 225. fid. Old 'Haurakis are artificially maintained at a comparatively high level. There has been considerable speculation in the shares, and those who have taken part in the bear movement, are now being called upon to deliver, hence the demand for the shaTes.
