LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. balgety and Company, Ltd., report on their Wanganui pale on llarch y, and Waverley sale on March 11, as follows:—At Wanganui wo yarded 45C0 sheep and 100 odd cattlo. Tho demand for sheep was good, and, with the exception of one small pen, wo effected a total clearance. Cattlo were dull, and the bulk of the yarding went out unsold. At Waverley wo, were unfortunate in meeting with rough weather, which prevented several linos* from coming forward. We yarded 3CCO sheep and 350 cattle. Ewes and wethers were in good demand, but lambs were very dull of. sale. Cattlo sold well, lines of-young steers being in - good demand. We quote:—At Wanganui: Forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers, 12s. 10d.; store wethers, 10s 6d. to. 12s. 2d..; backward and aged wethers, 95.-3d.; 2-tooth ewes, 13s. to-14s. 2d.; fat ewes, 10s.; 2, 4, and 6-tooth ewes, 10s.; 4 and 5-year ewes (good), lis. to lis. 2d.; sound-mouth ewes, 7s; 9d., Bs., Es. 4d. to 6s. fid. and Bs. 9d.; f.m. ewes, 2s. lid., 35., 3d. 7d., 4s. 2d., ss. 7d., 65., 6s. 7d. to 6s. 9d.; ewe lambs, Ba. 6d.; mixed lambs, fe. 7d. At Waverley: Two-tooth wethers, 135.; fat and forward wethers, 13s. 9d.; 4-tooth ewes, 1 13s. Id.; s.m. ewes, 6s. 3d., Bs. 2d. to Bs. 4d.; f.m. ewes, 3s. to ss. 6d.; wether lambs, ,ss. lid.; small mixed lambs, 4s. fid. '• Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—At our Marfcon sale this week there was a good entry of sheep and a small entry of cattle.' Sheep sold well, nearly every pen being cleared at auction.
