LIVE STOCK SALES.
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having had an exceptionally large yarding of sheep for their last Feilding sale. There was a jJaod demand for lambs, and also for good mouthed ewes. The report adds:—We were succcssful in quitting the bulk of our entry at prices in favour of vendors. Wc quote:—Lambs, culls, 3s. Bd., 4s. lid., 55., Ss. 3d.; medium, ss. 6d., 65., 6s. 2d, 7s 4d.; cull ewes, ss. Id. to 65.; s.m. ewes, Bs., Bs. 3d, to 9s 3d; fouryear ewes, 9s 3d. to 10s.; four and sixtooth wethers,, to lis. 6d. The Kcw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:—At our last Taihape sale 1200 sheep were entered, and the sale was brisk throughout, good quality stock bringing good prices. Wc quote as follows ewes, 13s. 7d. to 14s. Id.; s.m. ewes, ss. to 10s.; twotooth wethers, 10e, 4d. to 12s. Id.; ewe lambs, 7s. to Bs. 6d.; wether lambs, 6s. 7d. to 7s. Gd. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenny Company, Ltd., report:—At our recent Raurimu sale 8240 sheep wcro yarded, these being in splendid condition. Bidding was spirited throughout. We quote:—Twotooth wethers, lis. sd. to lis. lOd.; twotooth ewes, 13s. to 13s. 6d.; four-tooth ewes, 14s. 5d.; six-tooth ewes, 13s. 3d.; s.m. ewes, 12s. sd. to 12b. lid; cull ewes, 7s sd. to lis.; ewe lambs, 9s. 3d. to 9s. 7d.; wether lambs, Bs. to Bs. 6d.; mixed cull lambs, ss. to 6s. Id.; Romney rams, li guineas to 3 guineas.
