(By Tolecranh.—Press- Association.) Gisborne, March U. Tlje Supreme Court sessions opened here this morning before Judge Cooler. There was/only a small calendar. Joseph Henry Norcross: pleaded guilty to a charge of failing:',to keep proper books, and was Temanded, pending receipt of . the probation officer's report.' Dunedin, March 14. At the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justice Williams sentenced Oscar Strangeby to six months' imprisonment. for breaking, entering, and theft at Dunedin. Martha Basan,'arraigned on'six charges, of theft from dwellings, was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment, and,-oil a further'charge :of housebreaking, was ordered to I» detained as an habitual criminal.
