DREDGE DRIFTS ASHORE. A PUNT WITH TWO MEN MISSING. THE HAZEL CRAIG PUTS INTO SYDNEY. By Teleeraph—Frees Association-OopyrleUt (Rec. March 12, 7.20 p.m.) Sydney, March 12. A tng-boat towing the dredge Ulysses up to the Richmond Eiver lost her low, and the whereabouts of the dredge was unknown for some time. She had. eight men aboard and had no propelling power. A heavy Bea was running, and southeasterly gales prevailed with drenching rain. The Government were arranging to send a steamer in search, but the Ulysses drifted ashore five miles south of Evans River. The crew are safe but a punt with'two men aboard is still missing. The barque Hazel Craig, which left Newcastle.on Wednesday for Wellington, pnt into Sydney leaking. She ran into heavy weather 200 miles off the coast, and as. the "straining started a.leak, it was decided to make for Sydney. All sports were declared off on Saturday owing to the wet weather.
