chairman, that the association donate "£5 ss. to the college ground fund,'and £2 2s. to the prize fund.. An honorarium of .£2O was voted to the secretary. It was moved by the chairman: "That the'association..communicate with similar . bodies with the object of having old boys of secondary schools' ' directly represented on Boards ' of Governors." 'In seconding the': motion, Mr. A... E. Meet; said that as a matter :of fact the Old Boys were represented on the ; present . Board of Governors in having Mr. A. de B. Brandon, Mr. H.'Field, and an ex-master, Mr. Ward, on the board, but that might not always obtain. What'' they. wanted' .to bring . about was for ■ a member.'-to .be elected by a constituency of old boys. He understood, that Nelson College ana other colleges favoured the proposal; and the incoming committee should do what they could to push'. the matter forward. Mr. B. G. .Pilcher :also spoke' in'favour of the motion, which was carried.
