Mr. Grant representing the Nonconformist ministers, whilst an address was also read on behalf'of Maori members of the diocese. . • ] ' Bishop Averill, in reply,. expressed his keen appreciation of the .great kindness which he was receiving-in his new district,- which helped, to compensate for the regret which he.felt in leaving his old parish in.
