Messrs. Abraham and "Williams, Ltd. report as follows:—At Otaki. on Wednesday we, had good yardings of both sheep and cattle. The sheep consisted principally of lambs and aged ewes. A good demand existed for the former, but the latter were hard to ouit. We, however, managed to quit most of the yarding at prices on a par with other centres. The Palmorston branch of the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Acency Company report:—Sales for the week have ben held at Himitangi, Kauraai, and Palmcrslou North. At ftimitangi, on Monday, we offered a moderate entry of both sheen and cattle to aa appreciative attendance of buyers, the sale resulting in' a total clearance at prices in favour of vendors. At Eaumai wo had a very heavy yarding oi botn sheep and cattle. . Sheep were ii£ dined to.drag, but \7o wore successful in placing the whole of our entry, with the exception of two small pens. Cattle were in good demand, and a good clearance was effected. At Palmerston on Thursday wo had a fair entry of sheep, mostly of inferior quality, and we were able to place tho bulk of the yarding. Chrlstcnurch, March 9. At Addington there was again a large entry of stock, especially of sheep. Store sheep sold with practically no chance in values. Fat lambs sold .well, heavy-weights being rather firm. Fat cattle were easier, and pigs met. with a dull sale. Fat sheep were firm. Store cattle were" in improved demand, and dairy cows' sold well. The entry of store sheep was made up" principally of wethers and ewes, iambs being in smaller proportion than of late. There was vary good demand, and prices showed little or no change. Tho yarding of fat lambs was not as large as last week, totalling 8784, and they were somewhat uneven in quality. For breeding ewes there was a good demand throughout, the sale of hcavy-wciMt freezers and tegs meeting with keener competition and being rather firmer in price, while other sorts sold well, up to'laGt week's rates. Of fat sheep, me larger proportion being owes, there was a good demand throughout, sales being both for ■ export and local consumption. Last week's rates were fully maintained, good wethers sell-, ing rather better. Range of prices :-Primo wethers, 15s. 6d. to 195.; extra, to 20s. 6d.; others, 13s. 7d. to 155.; prime owes, 12s. 6d. to 14s. lid.; others, 73. 9d. to 12s.

Tho entry of fat cattle totalled'3s3 head, the bulk being of moderate duality. The sale was a dull one, and prices were easier by about 6d. per 1001b. There was a fair yarding of store. cattle, including a Southland consignment. There was an improved demand; and yearlings made 265. to 355.; 15 to 18-months, £2 Is. Bd., £2 14s. Id.; twoyear steers, £3 to £3 17s. 6d.; two-year heifers, £3 19s. 6d.; two'.and a half-year steers, £4 10s.; three-year steers, £5 155.; three-year heifers, £4 10s. to £4 135.; and dry cows, 375. to £5 7s. 6d. Dairy cows made £3 10s. to £8.. • The entry of fat pigs was good, and they met with dull demand on last week's rates. The large yarding of stores was QiEsn-ult to sell. Messrs. Reporting on their fortnightlv stock sale at Masterton .this week Messrs. Dalgety and Company state :-Wc had a very heavyentry of all classes, yarding 12,344 sheep, onyers wero present from all parts of the district, and, at the end of the dav, we had a satisfactory clearance. 10,744 sheen being disposed of. In our entry we had some very good lines of ewes, wethers, and lambs, and bidding for these was spirited. As is-usual at present there were included in:our yarding a fair-number of aged and inferior owes. Prices on the average were slightly, in excess of rates lately ruling; more ■ especially in regard to wethers,'and prices for this class of sheep showed a decided advance. Good lambs, fit for rape, wero keenly inquired for, and good breeding ewes, showing condition and quality found ready buyers. Vo also had two nice linos of purebred Itomney ewes, on account of Mr. Wm. Buick. These ewes showed plenty of. breeding, and were in good condition.
