. Some of the great industries of Sheffield and their mportance to the Empire wore the subject of an interesting address delivered to. the Yorkshire {Society last.evening by Mr. A..E. Nash, of Sydney, who is himself prominently connected with a leading Sheffield firm. In. the 'course of his address Mr. Nash remarked that Yorkshire could ' produce armour-plates much .faster than Germany, in spite of 'what had. been said to the contrary.. We should have a ; great naval war withu the next few years,, .and wheii that time, cams Yorkshiremeu would be found : in' the forefront 'of.■the; battle.- (Applause.) . ■■ . ■ ' ...'■'■■ Mr. Nash conveyed to the society a message of fraternal ' greeting from :tho kindred body in New.
