Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—At Levin on Friday we had an extremely heavy yarding oi sheep, our yards and adjoining paddocks being full to overflowing. The quality of the sheep was above the average, especially somo lines of forward wethers and breeding owes. Uuycra were present in laree num-
hers, and every pen (except two, which chanced hands immediately after the hammer had fallen), were sold under'tho hammer at prices, in most cases, in favour of vendors. The cattle yards were also taxed to the utmost. They also wore eagerly competed for, and we had an almost total clearance. We quote:—2. 4. and 6-toolh owes, 11s. 7d. to 12s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Apiti sale as follows:-At Apiti, on Tuesday, wo had an exceptionally heavy yarding pi sheep and cattle of all classes. Buyers were present, aad operated frcoly, the" result being a most successful sale, all lines being practically sold under tho hammer. We quote :-Sheep: Mixed lambs, 2s. 9d. to Bs. 4d".; wether lambs, 55.11 d., 6s. Ud. to 65.;. ewe lambs, Bs. lid. to Ifs. 7d.: cull lambs, 2s. 6d. to 33.
