Four of the events for the school girls' and boys' championships were got off, 'the .following being the results ?— Boys' race, 50yds.—First heat: P. H. Freeth, 1; H. Silver, 2; and! E.'Campbell, 3. Second heat: A. M'Carlie, I;,L. H. Curtis, 2; P. Mair, 3. Final: P. H. Freeth, 1; A. M'Carlie and H. Silver, dead heat, 2. Time, 36 2Jsec

Girls' race, 25yds.—E. Hicks, 1; C. Jones, 2; M. M'Cabe, 3. Time, 23sec. Girls' race, 50jds.—P. Hicks, 1;. M. M'Cabe, 2; C. Jones, 3. Time, 51sec.

A one mile handicap was also got off n rater the auspices of tie Wellington AJ3-C. The followiug are the names of the competitors and their handicaps: J. Gosling, 7min. lteec; S. Beaumont, 6 mm-; F. Delaney, liniin. 55sec.; K. Bnssel, imin. 35sec.; E. Scott, Imin. lOsec.; W. Morpeth, Sinin. 50sec.; J. Warehame, Smin. 355e0.;.L. Silver, 3inin. 33sec.; W. ituclsiju, Sunn.; C. Ward, Imin. 2£isec.; S. Murrell, scr.; B. O'Neill, scr. B. C. Freyberg started. 2min. after the scratch men. The raoe resulted in a- win for S. Murrell, with B. C; Freyberg second, and W. Morpeth third. The following did not finish. The distance which they had covered when they discontinued swimming is given after each name :— F. Delaney, lOOOyde.; K Scott, 1250yd5.; J. Warehame, 700 yds.; W. Dudson, 1325 yds.; and C. Ward, 1250 yds. Mr. A. W. Smith acted as starter, Mr. Somerville as timekeeper for all races.

Competitors are asked to note that entries for the Wellington Club carnival close to-day; also that the heats for the Class B and Maiden Handicap and 440 Yards, will be held on Tuesday, March 8, and Wednesday, March 9.
