WORKING MEN'S CLUB.
ANNUAL PICNIC .The annual picnic of the Wellington Working Men's Club and Literary Instatute was held at Days Bay ou Saturday under the direccion ot the '■ president, Mr. B. Mapplebeok. Quite 3000 persons made .the trip across the harbour, aid the ontLug was a thoroughly enjoyable one.. During 'the. afternoon the Hon. J. A. Millar and Mr.. A. L. .Herdman, Mj\, were among the visdtorß.- A comprehensive sports programme was carried out, the children and .ladies being- specially' catered for, and over 2000 toys were-distributed during the afterao.oo-, each,-child receiving somethin" ihe following are the, results of the adult races:— '
