THE CADET ENCAMPMENT.
Sir,—l am glad to soe Dr. Do Lisle's protest concerning the charges of mismanagement levelled against the cadet camp authorities at the Hutt. Major M'Donald and those acting under him deserve thanks, rather than censure, for doing everything which lay in their power to make our lads comfortable under very difficult circumstances. . We all know that while a very much larger number of cadets arrived than was expected, there was no lack of food, and the lads returned homo none the worse for the outing. It should also bo known that when the heavy rain set in the Prime Minister, Sir' Joseph Ward, sent out a message that no expense was to be spared to make tho lads comfortable. The opinion of the cadets themselves, both in camp and since returning, is. that they had a very good time.—l am, etc., FEED. W. BOYS, • Chaplain-Major, 4th Wanganni Battalion. Hawera, March 2.
