BOWLS.
NEW CLUB AT HATAITAI A.bowling club has been formed at Hataitai, (Kilbirnie North). At a meeting held on Wednesday evening a report was presented showing that all preliminary arrangements had been made. : for the levelling of the site for the green,' which is situated conveniently within' a stone's ■throw of the first compulsory stoppingplace for tho trams on the Kilbirnie side of the Mount Victoria tunnel, and an option has been secured over an adjoining piece- of ground as provision for a second green. Sixty members hare been enrolled, and it is fully anticipated that a full membership will be obtained by the time that the green is ready for use, at tho beginning of next season. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. J. W. Kinniburgii; secretary, Mr. L. Areus; treasurer, Mr. A. L. Huggins; directors, Messrs. Galvin, Hunt, Lawrenson, M'Goldrick, Mitchell, and Munro. . •'
