Ihe attention of local musical folk will no doubt bo largely centred on the Opera House next Monday and Tuesday evenings, when the famous Scotch baritone, Mr. Andrew Black, and his concert company will make their appearances. The stars' are tho baritone himself, whoso name is familiarly known in Europe and America, and Anton Tschaikov, who-is described as a noted Russian violinist with, many European successes behind him. Ono of the secrets of Mr. Black s triumph has been the naturalness, as well as tho art of his Quo singing. He is a perfectly natural and breezy singer, and in oratorio, opera, or homely English and Scottish ballads is equally at home. M. Anton Tschaikov's items will include selections from tho great masters of violin composition. Miss Hey Cross is a young contralto vocalist ?i. fin £"J n ß c > enunciation, and treatment.
