. —i . FEDERAL CAMPAIGN. CRITICAL SPEECH BY MR, DEAKIN, By Teleeraph—Presß Association—Ooprrleht, Melbourne, March 1. The writs for the .Federal' elections, which aro to be held on April 13, have been issued. Tho Federal Prime Minister, Mr, ■ Deakjn, speaking at Bendigo, attacked the Labour party. Labour had, he said, got orders to step in, march, and vote; it had no choice. The Labour party was definitely committed by its leaders to antagonism to the Wages Boards, which meant tearing down the industrial system in each State. Labour members stood between the working classes and justice. They were powerless to do anything themselves and. wished to prevent some one coming in and doing work they won't or can't do.
