When the Wages Board met to-day, Judge Scholea said ho was sorry to announce. thiit the - matter had not been settled; ' Something had" arieen, and, whether it would be' serious, or not,, in yiew of: the bringing of the: parties together, remained .: to bo 6een. -Ho considered it wise that ho should again see the colliery proprietors before declaring that.the negotiations are off.■■■• He'could 'not ,6ay, anything, more at present. To make disclosures' might do more harm than good. A meeting'of the proprietors had been called for. to-morrow at which he would try to bring about tux understanding. on one matter the ' . only one which stands 'in the way of a complete settlement, At the proper- time all the negotiations wlnoli had been and would b? conducted would be : made known especially if; they miscarried. . : : The Court was crowded.
