In a : statement handed to the press, the"Northern- ininb owners shaw that tlioy iiavo no, inbiitionv of -accppiingran lequivocal resumption '; of": work. .The statement l makes . clear that' the' owners' terms- for granting a conference are:-- ' (1) When tho Wages Board meets again the miners must submit their' grievances. ■ (2) The pits must be ready /to .recjiive the .miners ; on.'-Wednesday/ morning, i and the miners be ready to go to work at the nsual time and .under the old conditions.
■ (3) When these conditions . are. complied .with, the Wages .Board, will then proceed with its work. . , ' 1
-The South Clifton is the.only Southern mine idle, . work being blocked by "an old-standing local'difficulty. ' ■
