Mr. George !Doan Tinsscll, a lawyer, of No. 154, Nassau Street, New Tort, announced last December that,he had prepared papers for the incorporation.of an institution to be, known by the name of the Wifehood' Guild, which ; would> be' situated at Huntingdon Manor, Long Island. - At the: institution, it was stated, proper instruction in -the rudiments of. matrimony would be given to: prospective brides, particularly, young, women who ■through circumstances ; were , forced to work in offices and thereby: miss a home training in cooking, and:.hygienic housework.' Qne' of 'the directors' said that after an investigation of domestic _ unhappiness she and others were convinced discord was due in 50 per cent of • the cases'..to the fact that _ tho . bride was not qualified for her duties."
