There was- a very large ' -attendance, and a spirited competition for. *}1 straight lines of breeding cweß.. A-large number o! 2-tooths were: offered, but prices obtained for these were rather lower than prices which were being-given previously. Wo cleared practically , the whole of our entry at prices which-wero highly satisfactory, to vendors: The following is a list of prices realised:—Two-tooth ewos, 12s. lid., 13s. 2d., 15s. 3d. to 153.; 2, 4, 6, and f.f.m. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—On the second day of tho Hastorton ram fair, hold yesterday, tho offering con-, sistcd of stud and flock sheep in-Lincoln and English and Border Leicester. Contrary to expectations, Lincolns met with very ready sale, and wo hopo to report practically a: total clearance of our offerin", prices in most , cases being far in excess of vondors" ideas. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:—At our fortnightly. sale, at Lorin, yesterday, wo. had a good yarding of sheep. The attendance of buyers.was good, and bidding very brisk, tho result being , a good clearance at values in fvour of vendors. Mr; Newton 'King reports:—At Kaponga, on Friday, I held a wearier fair, in conjunction with ray ■ ordinary . cattle sale. The yarding was not .up to advertised , numbers, , several vendors ' who had entered their cattle failing to put in an appearance. There weTo about 300 penned, and .everything offered ' was sold at the hammer. Weaners made 255. to 305.; do., small, 20s. to 245.
