; .'Messrs. J. "The town clerk submitted: a .report on an; inspection ,of; the creek 'at Bona Bay by-r councillors;, and Vtests, by himself in connection with'tho.'pi'oposal to draw , a water supply for the. borough from that source. He'.stated that two tests of the volume of water were made, one on- Mr. Russo's:land and oner on the School Commissioners' .land. The flo.wr'at each point was approximately 23,000 gallons per 24 hours...!Tho point,on Mr.;'Russo's. land would ; give a larger'storage area than tho , otlier,, but , would entail a stronger and' : more, costly concrete, dain.,; A point nearer the other spot was to be preferred becauso it would give a higher pressure, and would' entail the conservation of a smaller ; cotchmeht : area, and thus save what:-would otherwise have x to be naid to : Mr. Russo by way of compensation. As to the capacity of,the creek to supply the .borough,' ; much would depend on the future population, which might, however, bo fixed.at'lo,ooo ultimately.' The creek could not "supply.,such a population and provide for drought periods without a storage'supply.,- Jt- must be remembered, of course, that such storage could.be increased with tho necessities of the time by the addition-of extra dams, above that first constructed. ... '
