It was their desire to bring about a settlement. : Two Reasons for Adjournment, Judge Scholes said ho considered Mr. Chariton must havo strong reasons for .pressing for an adjournment. Ho therefore granted it, for two reasons: Firstly, tho hope that the men would submit their case to the Wages Board; secondly, the prospect of a settlement as soon- as possible.
