'■ i ,, : "•....'• Pahiatua, February 9. ■; The agricultural show, held on the racecourse at Pahiatua to-day under the auspices of the, Pahiatua-Akitio A. and P. ■Association; was -a' success. .'Thejday.was gloriously fine, and 'the'<attendance.large; The total entries: for. the horse classes numbered 346, and the • competitions-were of course a. feature. :;Tn-this connection,: however, one, mishap has to ;be mentioned. The rider of Lady Ona came down in the. big "-.steeplechase- event, and ■sustained. slight ;concussioniof'thV train. Judges 'considered the horses shown were well up to show standard, arid Jersey Seattle and fat sheep -we're also good. The .Pahiatua Band was present and enlivened the proceedings ;with,. selections.
