TB03; COMMISSIONER'S PROGRAMME. : Commissioner' Hay, the head of, the Salvation Army in ; Australasia, met North Island officers in conference yesterday. The proceedings were chieily of. n dovotionnl character. ■' To-day the Commissioner, will pay a visit to tho Salvation Army institutions in tho city-the Prison Gate Home at Island Bay, the Metropole' Hotel in Buckle Street, tho People s Palace in Cuba Street, "Paulina" Rescue Home, and tho Children's Homo at Newtown, and the Maternity Home in Thompson Street, ''•'",■ , •'■.'■■ ■~ A special children's demonstration will be held-at 8 o'clock to-night in .the Vivian Street Citadel, and the Commissioner will deliver- an address.
