Barraud, York, and Co., Ltd., report our Upper. Hutt stock sale wo had a,good yarding of sheep, and cleared all lines at improved prices. Wo sold twotooth; ewes; and wothcrß at. 9s. 6d.; f.m. ewes,,? 3. 6d;;.cull,ewes, 55.; fat lambs, Bs. to 95.; store iambs, ss. 7d. " Messrs, Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on ; their Eketahuna stock sale, held this week, as follows :-Sheop came forward up. to_ advertised numbers, but the sales now being held weekly account for the yarding being smaller than those - previously recorded during the last month.' The attendance was.. satisfactory, but outside .buyers wore conspicuous by their absence,' and tho salo for sheep dragged somewhat at auction. On the whole, how.ever; (the.report adds), we made a good clearance, only one vendor being compelled to take'his sheep home. Cattle were well competed for, business at auction being :- animated,, and young steers being particularly in demand.
