SUICIDE IN THE CITY.
Early this morning the police, reported a case of-6Uiciae in'the city.; The ■victim is a single -man named William Anderson, aged 34 years, who is said to be a i native of Naseby. Andersoh has beenresiding' at: 36 Cambridge .Terrace; It is stated that a daughter of the occn-. pier of the house, .'on returning last night from the theatre, encountered Anderson in the back yard and was assaulted by him, sustaining a split; jaw and a broken nose. She rushed insido to her parents,' who locked, the' " door. The' assault was reported to the police, and Sergeant Stewart and Constable JoliHf?, on arriving, at the house at midnight last night, found Anderson lying in the yard with his throat cut.
