RUAHINE ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph.—Frees Association.) Dannevirke, February 2. The' Ruahine llifio 'Association meeting concludcd to-day in brilliant weather. The results were as follow:—
Ruahino Match, 200 and GOO yards.— Rifleman Welsh (Opaki), 505., Gli; Pte. Govenlock (Woodviue), 305., G5; Sergt. Law (Dannovirke). 20s„ 64. Fourteen others shared in the prise money. Tho following w«ro tho first eight in the Grand Aggregate :— Govenlock (Woodville), championship winner, 23G; Currie (Ohura), 281; Eyles(Dannevirke), 281; Neilson (Dannevirke), 278; Whiting (Whareroa), 277; Ketts (Palmerston North), .276; King (Opaki), 275; Law (Dannevirke), 275. Pte. Govenlock, of the Woodville Rifles, swept tho board in the aggregate prizelist. Ho seenred the Championship Belt and gold medal for tho highest score off tho rifle in four handicap matches, tho Knight Cup, and gold medivl for tho highest aggregate, off tho rifle in the Hawko's Bay aud Glengarry Matches, and J. Franklin's gold medal for the highest aggregate, including handicap, in tho four handicap matches. 'Benefit Match.—Rifleman Whiting (Whareroa), 10s., 35; Rifleman Balfour, (Taradale), 10s., 33. Nino others scored 33.
Consolation Match.—Rifleman Balfour (Taradale), £i, 33; Rifleman Stewart (Weber), .£l, 33; Rifleman Camoron (Opaki), 155., 33. The Teams' Match was won by tho Dannevirke No. 1 team, with a score of 455, Ohurti being second with 152, and Opaki third with. 418.. ' . The. Franklin Shield was won by the Ohura team with 452 points, Opaki being second with 448, and Weber third with 435. . Rifleman Williams (Ohura) tied with Lieut. Neilson (Dannevirke) for" the prize for the highest scorer in the ' teams matches, and in the shoot off defeated Neilson. . Tho prizes are' being. presented to-night. 1 ■ ' ■ ' '
Among tho passengers from. Sydney by the-Ulimaroa last night, were tlio members of a new Riokards Vaudevillo Company, which is to tour tho Dominion under the. management of Mr. Allan Hamilton. The company includes Bob Fitzsimmons, the ex-champion pugilist of the world, Mrs. Fitzsimmons; (vocalist), the Trapnoll Sisters, Franco Fiper (banjo specialist), Mr. Fred Bluett (comedian), Miss X- Gilford, Vaude and Verne (patter comedians),- and the\ Wheelers (trick cyclists).
