ROWING
: A meeting of the ■ Wellington Rowing Association was held last-evening, when various matters in connection with tho recent regatta .were dealt with, tho secretary.reporting a small, credit balance, MjCii.TO considered satisfaotoi^'.' Considerable discussion took place over a letter received from , the Star Boating Club, regarding tho Champion Pairs race at Picton. It was pointed out that owing to insufficient time being' allowed between tho Championship • Doublo Sculls and the Pairs rhces, only two crews were ablo to get to the post, the Picton -and Canterbury crews j and that in the ease of the latter the men, had-just before rowed ui. the Doublo Sculls. As it was necessary to change the riggers, for tho Pairs, both tho Wangauiii Union'and the Star crews were unable to got to the post before the race, started. The Picton crew TOn. -Under these' circumstances the Star Club asked that the letter bo forwarded on to the New Zealand Rowing Association for. that body to deal with. This course was decided.upon.•
