The re;turni which was : adopted; affeoted several members, but • none of the amounts were ' very. large. • The .position of : the Napier Gas' Company • was raised, 'and the ,Mayor (Mr. J;-- vlgor..*Brown, ; ;M.P.), who is a director of the company, moved, and it 'was agreed, that another, return be prepared, giving full information as to- the council's; dealings with the Gas Company. •
