Ingles and R. .Mothes, JJP.'s/ two first,' offenders for drunkenness .. were convicted and ; discharged. Prank Summers and : Albert Gilbert, charged with being found illegally on the Police Station premises, were convicted and discharged. At the next meeting of •: tho Hutt Borough Council the following motion regarding Everest's Creek (notice of which haa been given by Councillor Baldwin) will be discussed"That tho drain be contracted in accordance with" the, plan prepared by the borough engineer, subject 'to the height of the side walls being reduced by Din., and a circular arched top being sprung from the top to tho reduced side walls, and carried up to tho same height as shown in tho engineer's plan." ;
