It.appears, that ho was working in a : metal pit mafr Marton and whilst engaged in loading a dray a 'fall ,of metal - almost buried 'him.- : It covered him "to the armjpits; -tho result being a lractured,thigh and severe -internal injuries.. -.The-sufferer; was brought :to ■ town, and m surgical, aid. was r at ,:,onoe callctl -in. :.:The ,case,.' however,:,proved fatal, as death: occurred: shortly' after . 7 o'clock.:- -Deceased-was about 23 years of age, and his parents reside in Taih'ape. He had - been a resident of Marton for ■some time, and ..was a. : popular young-'man. :
