Hokltika, January 11. *. • Prospecting operations at tho Wilberforce Reefs, with .which good progress has been mado during tho recent flno spell of .weather, havo resulted in proving a further extent of reef to bo gold-bearing. An additional 17. feet has been driven on the continuation of the former tunnel during the past month, and the stone has boen found to be even superior to that previously met with.. 'Tho reef is still •widening, and there are indications that it will continue to do so for some distance. The gold-bearing quartz -i 3 now showing a thickncss .of two feet.' Although tho stone has not yet been assayed, experts pronounco it to bo particularly good.' ■
