In case the course along the shore at Ngahauranga ,should havo to bo : used, arrangements have been made, for one ofi,the. Ferry. Company's steamers to follow, the races, leaving, tho Ferry:, Wharf. at' 42.45' and calling at the Petone Wharf -at 1.45 o'clock. If a southerly wind is blowing the finishinj; lino will b'o , between the .' Queon's and Taranaki Streot. Wharves, at 'the latter of which the steamer will call,before, every;'race.;: Eaoh. of these, courses- provides :a, straight-away two miles-r-tho ~ distance ; of tho big race,. the senior fours—in, which ,cri)ws from Auckland, Canterbury, Picton, and' Wanganui .will be opposed-: to the local representatives.
