MOTOE-CAB V. MOTOE-BICTCEE. , The rate of speed at. which motor cles are allowed to travel round corners, apparently with impunity, was eumplified yesterday when a motor-bicycle, ridden: by Mr.. George; Bosejof Fitzherberfc Terrace, Pctone, dashed violently into a. motor-car driven by Mr. W. J. Ferkiiis, builder, of Jngestro: Street, opposite the •Caledonian Hotel at the corner of .'Adelaide Road and Sussex Square. Mr. Rosa was thrown heavily from his machine, which was badly damaged, and when picked up he'was found to'be so badly shaken that he had to bo taken into the hotel, where ho received' attentiori from Dr. Gieson. The only damage sustained by tho car was a punctured tyro.

Sabina Murphy, an aged woman, welt known to the police, was found drownett in a small creek, south of Hagley Park, this afternoon... She had .apparently fallen into the creek when crossing the Pari last night. , At the inquest evidence was given to the;effect that decedsed was, about'fifty years of ago, and was a member of tho unfortunate class,' with a long list of convictions for vagrancy and drunkenness. She was last seen alive on Friday night. A verdict of found drowned was entered.
