Dick Arnst, champion sculler of tht> ' world, who is back-marker in tho Sculling Handicap to bo held on the Wanganui Kiver on Thursday and. Saturday, arrived from Nelson this afternoon. On stepping from the train he received a. cable from the editor of tho "Sunday Times," Perth, as follows:—"Wire terms for a championship race with Pearce on the Swan River in April or May; Peaice Arnst has not replied, yet, but wEU probably do bo in a day or two, making tho usual' terms, namely, fivo hundred aside and half the, gate. He will also stimulate for a certain sum for expenses. . i . The champions boat is expected to arr've by tho Stormbird in the morning. He' - vill immediately go-for a lone row, probably U miles, and will repeat the 6ame in the afternoon. He is now ton pounds over tho weight at which he won the world's championship, but expects to take tlat off'in time. George Sutherland, the ex-champion, oydist, will arrivo on Wednesday.
