The melodrama is full of life and action, and gives such .actors as Messrs. G. S. Titheradge, Thos.. Kingston, Hairy Plinimer, and Cyril Mackay excellent chances to display ■ their varied talents. .Nor must the charming and altogether -artistic, work, of Miss Ethel Warwick unnoticed. . For a melodrainatio heroino she has little to do, but that little is enough-to indicate a dramatic artist favoured with a winning personality, .and one, moreover who has studied in the best of schools. Visitors to -Wellington' just now. are the members of the Auckland Mission Band, who have come down, to • exchange the compliments ,of the. season 'with''their Wellington friends, the , Wellington 1 Central Mission Band. The Auckland Band made-.its 'first appearance; at. the Central "Mission Hall lost evening, to which- place the combined Auckland andi ; Wellington Bands marclied in .procession, about 70 all told; The concert was well attended, and proved to be a very, enjoyable one. The iitems'by the full band included the "Tasma" March, ,tho -selections- "Gems of Evergreen Melody" and "Gloria," a fantasia, "The '■:.
