Tho Shanghai correspondent of tho "Cologno Gazette" reports that tho Regent, Prince Chun, was stabbed outside tho Palaco, being wounded slightly in the abdomon. His assailant, a revolutionary from tho disturbed districts in Southern China, was arrested. [Tho Chincso Emperor Kwang-Hsu, who had nominally roigned since January 22, 1875, died on November 14, 1908, and the I real ruler, tho Empress Dowager, lzc--1 Hsi, aunt of Kwang-Hsu, died tho next day. On November 13, JOOB, edicts were issued appointing Prince Chun, grandson of tho Emperor Tao-Kuang, Kegont. Ho married a daughter of Yung : lu in 1902, and his son, Pu-yi, was born in 1903. I'uvi succeeded as tho Emperor on November 14, 1908, having been nominated to tho Throne by the Empress Dowager.]
