Wedding at Karori. ■ : . Yesterday afternoon thero was a quiet wedding at St. Mary's Church,' Karori, when Miss Isabel M'Combie'Smith, niece; of Mr. Dinnie, was married. to Mr; Douglas Pollock Baguall, from Komako, the Key. E., B. Stephen? son officiating; | Tho : bride'' .. wore charming dress "of ■ white, i chiffon - taffetas, with 1 yoko and sleeves of tucked chiffon, and: bodice draped-with; fine .white, lace. With this sho wore a bridal wreath:and-veil, of embroidered tulle, and she carricd a shower bouquet. : She was'attended, by,two bridesmaids, Miss Winnie Pollock, and , Miss Kitty Wilson, . who wore dainty white 'embroidered frocks and wide whito hats, with Tmnches of tiny, pilik roses, and carried bouquets of pink sweet peas. Mr. 'Eellow was best, man, and' Mr. D. Dinnie groomsman. After tho, bedding a reception', was held' at tno home of Mr. and Mrs. Diiuiie. The pretty dining-room and -drawing-room were thrown into ' one, and : charmingly ' decorated -.'with flowers/ yellow, Icoland poppies, and coreopsis being '.chiefly-' used, while there;i were vases filled with tho sweet-scented Christmas lilies, and with whito Canterbury Bells, ;and tho tablo was prettily-decorated .with whito flowers. Mrs. Dinnie received in a frock of striped lavender ninon, : with cream lace yoke and sleeves and'bands of violet :yelvet. -Mrs. Sharpo, the mother of tho bridegroom, wore: a graceful 'frock of : grey striped;.;ninon,, .with cream, lace yoke and sleeves, a handsome cream lace scarf, and a'toque to match.. Mrs. E.. Dinnioworo a white lingerie frock, whito-boa,' and pink chiffon hat.: Among other guests' present wero: the'Eev. Gibson Smith: and Mrs., Smith, Mrs. Godder, Mrs. Dawson, Mrs. and Miss Heading,, and Miss .'Ecelesfiold.-, , The bridegroom's p'resont: to the bridesmaids .were Nellie Stewart bangles. Mrs. Bagriall's travelling:Costumo was a brow-n.striped tailor-made with' brown hat' to match. .- ;
