■ >'. ORGAN RECITAL. The organ recital given by the city I organist (Mr. J. Maughan Barnett) on Saturday evening ln the'Towa Hallj, was fairly-well attended; Taking into consideration'the season of-the year, the patronage accorded to the recitals of: late must 'be; considered highly satisfactory, as it betokens ,a growing interest in , music ; of as high, a' quality as is heard in contres very much larger .than Wellington. The programme on Saturday,: evening opened , with Wagner's festal "Cornelius March, a composition which Mr. Barnett has made popular in Wellington. The piece do . resistance ,from tho . organist's standpoint was' Bach's.
