DEATH OF AN ART-COLLECTOR. London, December 14. The' death is 1 announced of Mr. George Salting, a well-known art-collector. Tor many years Mr. Salting spent .£30,000 annually,' derived from his Australian sngaT estates and sheep farms, upon 'art objects. His collection of Oriental china is said to rival that of Mr. Pierpont Morgan. I It is believed that Mr. Salting's collections have been bequeathed to the nation. ME. JOHN MACKEELL. ' London, December 14. Mr. John, Mackroll, formerly solicitor to tho Governments of New Zealand and New Sonth Wales, is dead.
