Tho annual match between Christ's College and the Orago Boys' High School was commenced at Hagley' Park this morning. College went in first, and made a very rcspectablo score considering, the'sodden, state-of the ground. Jennings played capital cricket and made 48. A steady .downpour stopped further phiy at a quarter to four, tho total then being 189 for raven wickets, 801 l being-unbeaten idth a capi-tally-played 40. The following are.tho scores:— Christ's College, first innings—Jennings 48, Rutherford 18, Moore 17, Godfrey 0, Murray 11, White 3, Harrison-14, Bell 40, Loudon not out 18, extras 20. Total for-seven wickets, 189; BOYS' LEAGUE. The following are the Boys' League fixtures for Wednesday:— Winder's v. Stars, at Kelburne Park; Institute v. Telegraph, at Kelburno Park. In Saturday's.'junior championship match, Y.M.C.A. v. Wellington Collego, played at the college grounds, the scores. v;ere as follow:— College, first innings, 227 (Atmore not out 72, Bamsden 42, Holloway .24, and Beard 20). ' .Y.M.C.A., first innings,. 228 (H. Wilson not out. '89, M'Girr 67, C. Murphy 18, and H. Scott 10). Bowling for college, lvirker took fivo wickets for 30 runs and Findlay two for 65. College, second innings, 130. Y.M.C.A. ..therefore won . on. the first inuings by a. single run.
