DISTURBING CHURCH WORSHIP.
Sir,—l am a stranger 111 Wellington, and also I am Catholic. ' l)n Saturday ; evening I went to Boulcott Street Church, and as' I knelt down a religious organisation "opened out" at the corner, of the street with such a din that it -was quite impossible to say a prayer either with attention or devotion. I went but and remonstrated with one of the bandsmen, who stoutly maintained his right and the right of his organisation to play and to,, preach at that corner, and play there they would. Now, sir, what I want to ask is: Does tho permit given by the City Council carry with it also the right to disturb other congregations at 'their devotions, and, if not, will the council take the proper measures to prevent it in the future?—l am, etc., . M. SOLAN. .
