Tho Row IV,Fee, president of the conference, presided,; The meeting passed the following Resolutions :- (1) That as representing the interests, of the many thousands of young -people connected with the Methodist; Church ot New Zealand, we express; our deep thankfulness that on thomotion of the' Prime Minister,: in' committee, the clause .in': the now Ilefonco Bill providing for canteens in training: camps has bebn; struck out, : (t) That with a'view, to guarding against Sbssibie danger a' clause should be_ inserted in ie Bill positively prohibiting the introduction of canteens into training.camps by any authority whatever.: (3) That with a view of still further protecting tho training' ■? camps from thii dangerous liquor element, 6uck camps should be placed at least five miles away from; any hou'so' licensedfor the sale .;; of : alcoholic .drinks.
