Short, according to a: return submitted at the meeting of the board yesterday, came top with 46; Mr. David Robertson was.a good second with 44; and tho chairman (Mr. John Smith) finished third with 42. The others stood as follow:—Mr. H. Cook and the Rev. W. A. Evans, 36; Mr. J. Wakeham,.32; Miss Richmond, 29. During the period mentioned, the country members were excused from all but -the monthly finance meetings, of which there were 12. Mr. D. P. Loasby attended 10 'of these, while Mr. A.
